Essential skills

This course is designed to equip students with the fundamental skills needed to excel in any professional environment. Key areas covered include effective communication, problem-solving, time management, teamwork, and critical thinking. Through practical exercises and real-world examples, students will learn how to handle workplace challenges, make informed decisions, and collaborate effectively with others. By the end of the course, participants will have the confidence and skills to succeed in various industries and roles.

Database Systems

This course introduces database design and creation using a DBMS product. Emphasis is on data dictionaries, normalization, data integrity, data modeling, and creation of simple tables, queries, reports, and forms. Upon completion, students should be able to design and implement normalized database structures by creating simple database tables, queries, reports, and forms.

Computer Architecture

To provide an in-depth presentation of computer hardware and software with more
emphasis on the more technical aspects of computing such as troubleshooting and
upgrading computers.

Communication skills and Academic writing

 offers practice in four macro skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing) and dedicated study of academic language, within the context of a range of topics and issues relating to study at university. This unit will develop students' understanding of the university environment.
